Ipromea started with a simple question. If gut health matters this much for people, why were most pet probiotics just human formulas in a different box?
So we set out to make probiotics built for dogs and cats, made in Australia, and checked by a vet. Since 2021, that is exactly what we have done.
Pets have their own gut. They deserve their own probiotics.
Your dog or cat carries trillions of bacteria in their gut, and that community does a lot of heavy lifting. It helps them digest food, absorb nutrients and keep their immune system ticking along. When it falls out of balance, you often see it in their tummy, their skin and their energy.
The trouble was that many pet probiotics on the shelf were built on strains first developed for people. Those strains are not always a big part of a healthy dog or cat gut.
We are a specialist probiotic manufacturer, so we had the science and the facilities on our doorstep. We used them to build a range around the pet microbiome instead of borrowing from the human one.
