Porkchops the Surfing Dog is the new Pet Ambassador for Ipromea

July 29, 2021

WHILE the likes of world title surfing champions Mick Fanning and Stephanie Gilmore are sponsored by multi-million-dollar conglomerates, one four-legged friend who is no stranger to the swell has just scored a deal of his own.

Porkchops the British Bulldog, who has amassed over 160,000 followers on social media platform Instagram, is riding a wave of popularity by recently becoming an ambassador for pet probiotic company.

Sam Rollinson is Porkchops’ best friend and owner and is the Gold Coast Director for Go Ride a Wave Surf School in Surfers Paradise.

Porkchops is regularly seen surfing at the beach and has become a drawcard for tourists and locals alike.

Ipromea was founded earlier this year and offers Australia’s first new functional probiotic product range for pets.

Also backing the brand is well-known vet and social media personality Dr Claire Stevens, who is a passionate advocate of probiotics for pets.

Ipromea Brand Manager Tony Davis says the company is currently entering talks to be endorsed by the RSPCA and will be stocked in several reputable pet stores and veterinary clinics.

“We’ve received quite a bit of buzz since launching the brand and have already secured a number of distribution deals both domestically and internationally,” Mr Davis says.

“From the get-go, we wanted to make the brand fun and accessible to those who care about pet health and having our own set of brand ambassadors has been key to our early success.

“There is so much importance placed on human gut health nowadays and people both in the field and the general public are now recognising that the same applies to our pets.”

Our surfing Ambassador got some media attention recently. Check out the coverage via the links below:

As a dog owner, watching your beloved pet slow down due to joint issues such as osteoarthritis can be heart-wrenching. This common condition leads to pain and reduced mobility, which you might notice as stiffness, lameness, or difficulty with everyday activities like climbing stairs or jumping into cars. Thankfully, advances in veterinary nutrition offer new hope for managing these symptoms and enhancing your dog’s quality of life.
