The Gold Coast’s most insta-famous pooch, Porkchops the British Bulldog, has released his own trademarked coffee recipe – a healthier version of the much-loved Puppuccino.
Created in time to launch at the bi-annual Paws at the Park dog market event in Mudgeeraba this week, the Porkchopuccino is a play on the Starbuck’s phenomenon that has swept the world, but this new version includes a few Ipromea pet probiotic goodies for gut health.
Porkchops has an Instagram following of almost 170,000 and shot to fame as the face of Sam Rollinson’s Go Ride a Wave Surf School in Surfers Paradise.
“People love giving their dogs treats, but the original Puppuccino is not much more than cream in a cup, so not very good for them,” Sam said.
“As Porkchops is an ambassador for local pet probiotic company, Ipromea, we thought we’d partner with them on something new that he could enjoy while at the café – whilst also getting the added health benefits.
“The result is the Porkchopuccino, a drink based on lactose free milk with a shot of wonder supplement, Zoonatant™, and other probiotic goodies including ground up Ipromea Beg N’ Bark Clean Treats as the chocolate sprinkles.”
Porkchops is so sure his new creation will be a hit with his four-legged friends that he and partner Ipromea has engaged an intellectual property lawyer to trademark it.
As part of the bi-annual Paws in the Park this weekend, the Porkchopuccino will be available to buy at the Bean Bender coffee cart.
The Ipromea stand, where Porkchops will be greeting visitors, will be giving away vouchers for a free Porkchopuccino for anyone who enters their competition to win a Pet Microbiome Test Kit plus other Ipromea product prizes.
Ipromea Brand Manager Tony Davis said having a presence at this event via a stand and ambassadors Porkchops and Dr Claire Stevens will help people learn more about the importance of gut health for dogs.
“As they are a crucial part of our family, we share more than you think with our pets – especially when it comes to gut microbiome,” Tony said.
“Probiotics for pets restores your dog’s natural microbiome from head to tail and everywhere in between.
“With your dog’s digestive system making up around 80% of their immune defence, gut health for your dog should be a top priority.”
Paws at the Park is on this Saturday 28 August from 9am – 2pm at the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds.
